Levanael

Levanael is a seraph.

While he may not be the oldest, nor the most powerful of seraphs currently in the first sphere of heaven, he's still a fairly important player.

He's the archivist. Heaven's librarian. A linguist, a book keeper, and a collection of the current sum knowledge and history of heaven. His job is to write what is dictated on high to him, to record the current events, and to house and hold the knowledge of heaven.

One might assume this would make for a decently snobbish, uptight and perhaps aloof character, considering the vast amounts of information he stores.

One would be incorrect. Levanael is a Great Big Nerd.

Somewhat shy, socially awkward but ever eager to assist, Levanael is, if nothing else, an earnest creature. Quick to correct a misconception or mistake, and quick to welcome criticism and add to his own stores of knowledge, there's one thing that almost anyone can tell of Levanael the second they meet him: He's a doormat. A huge, soft spoken, somewhat nervous doormat who's desire to fit in and find acceptance with his peers tends to keep him quiet and distinctly uncomfortable at all times.

Mind, the second he feels he's found someone that has any interest in him or the information he holds, they might never get him to ever shut up. He genuinely enjoys teaching, and loves nothing more than informing someone of something that they've not known up until just now.

He does take a massive amount of pride in being correct nearly all the time, but if he's corrected and finds that the correction was warranted, he's even happier. After all, what good is information if it isn't correct information?

Levanael is a gullible creature, despite all his knowledge. This gullibility is born more of naivety and that aforementioned desire to fit in and be liked than actual stupidity, and his friendship is easily bought by positive attention and compliments. Despite his apparent shyness and awkwardness, he really is a somewhat vain creature who takes pride in his appearance, and does indeed find himself to be quite beautiful.

Even compliments that ignore his own personal perceived intelligence and focus instead on his looks are more than good enough to gain his good graces and trust.

Levanael is a gentle being as well, who would just as soon prefer talk his way out of a fight, or even flee, before actually having to inflict any sort of pain. He's not very well equipped for fighting even if he did prefer a battle, as he's not old enough nor well versed in battle enough to even be considered for a weapon.

His deep sense of empathy for others, complex feelings that often cloud his judgement and nervous disposition make him less than popular with his peers, and Levanael often finds himself alone, frustrated and desperate for praise and recognition.

He really is a very easily pleased being, despite his species and home.
